Gold Seer Trilogy by Rae Carson

With the release of the third and final book in the Gold Seer Trilogy by Rae Carson, I felt that it was finally time to review the three books in this series. I first picked up Walk on Earth a Stranger when its stunning cover caught my eye in my local bookstore, and from there on in I was hooked. In her newest series, Rae Carson introduces readers to a strong heroine, a cast of intriguing characters, perilous roads, fantastical twists, and a slow-burning romance.

In this review I will provide a mini, spoiler-free review of each individual book, then discuss the series as a whole.

Christmas Wish List

Normally I make a TBR for the month, but this month, in celebration of the holiday season, I decided to make a Christmas Wish List instead (since I’ll be saving my money to give gifts, not buy books, this month)!

  1. Fate of Flames by Sarah Raughley
  2. Poisoned Blade by Kate Elliot
  3. The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson
  4. Like a River Glorious by Rae Carson
  5. A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnson
  6. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab
  7. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  8. The Stranger Game by Cylin Busby
  9. Broken Prince by Erin Watt
  10. The Fate of the Tearling by Erika Johansen

I’ve also been stocking up on books for my family (because what else would I be gifting for Christmas?), so keep an eye out for not only my own Holiday Book Haul, but my stack of Gift Books!

What’s on your holiday wishlist this year?

Back to School Reading List

With school quickly approaching (sigh), I’ve been reeling in quite the impressive book haul to build my TBR stack before I head back to university and no longer have access to a car to go to the bookstore on a regular basis. Plus, school and work take up a LOT of time, so time to go peruse the bookstore is going to become a rarity.

Despite this, I am really excited for September, because the upcoming book releases are FANTASTIC! The wait is finally over for another Throne of Glass book, Jay Kristoff and Sabaa Tahir’s much anticipated books have finally hit shelves, and the later half of the month is simply littered with exciting book releases!

A Torch Against the Night

Books currently on my TBR for September include:

In addition, some books I am really looking forward to will be releasing in late September. I’m hoping I have the time to read them, but chances are they’ll be making a reappearance on my October TBR:
