December TBR + Christmas Wishlist

Hey Bookworms! For those of you who have been following my reading journey on my Bookstagram, you’ll know that I have a relatively successful reading month in November – in fact, I managed to read 7 books, despite a wildly busy month at work! I totally did not anticipate this level of reading success in November, but I am so happy that I found so much time to read this month, despite everything else going on in my life!

SO, WHAT WILL I BE READING THIS MONTH?

With Christmas just around the corner, I have decided to put myself on a “Book Buying Ban” until the New Year, which means my monthly TBR will be limited to the four books currently in my To Be Read Box, and one audiobook!

  5. Enchantee (ARC) by Gita Trelease (Release Date: February 5, 2019)

That being said, I do have quite the Christmas Wishlist, which is lined with new releases! For anyone looking for gift ideas of their own (and for my own reference in the future), I thought I would share my Christmas Wishlist here as well!

  1. Ever the Brave by Erin Summerhill (Release Date: December 5, 2017)

November 2018 Reading List

Hey Bookworms! For those of you who have been following my reading journey on my Bookstagram, you’ll know that I have a relatively successful reading month in October – in fact, I nearly completely my entire TBR List! I totally did not anticipate this level of reading success in October, but I am so happy that I found so much time to read this month, despite everything else going on in my life!

SO, WHAT WILL I BE READING THIS MONTH?

  1. Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman (Release Date: February 27, 2018)
  2. Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton (Release Date: July 31, 2018)
  3. Ruin of Stars by Linsey Miller (Release Date: August 29, 2018)
  4. Skyward by Brandon Sanderson (Release Date: November 6, 2018)
  5. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan (Release Date: November 6, 2018)
  6. Empress of all Seasons by Emiko Jean (Release Date: November 6, 2018)

I am also planning to purchase the Throne of Glass Collector’s Edition (Release Date: November 6, 2018) by Sarah J Maas and re-read the book that started this entire series! For those of you who don’t know, Throne of Glass means quite a lot to me. I had strayed away from reading, for multiple reasons, but I picked up Throne of Glass during a time when I really needed to rediscover my love for reading, and Maas teleported me to a world I so desperately needed in order to escape my own reality. Since that first book, Maas, Aelin, and the world of Erilea have been sweeping me away on adventures and experiences unlike other.

October 2018 Reading List

Better late than never… right? October has been wild thus far, and between work, family, and life, my blog had to take a back seat for a couple weeks. I am hoping to get back into the blogging groove in the next couple weeks, but I make no promises! That being said, if you’re looking for regular updates, I am still sharing my love for books quite regularly on Instagram and Twitter.

SO, WHAT WILL I BE READING THIS MONTH?

I am going to try and be realistic with myself this month (I know, I know, I say that every month!) – with an exciting new teaching job to navigate I am not sure how much time I’ll have to read, so I am under no illusions of believing I will actually be able to finish every book on the below list – even half would be an accomplishment!

  2. Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton (Release Date: July 31, 2018)

July 2018 Reading List

Who else is celebrating the fact that the school year is over? I know I am! I’ve had an amazing few weeks at my first-ever teaching job, but jumping into teaching right after an exhausting (and rewarding) year of Teacher’s College means that I am more than ready for a bit of a break – even if I am still working at camp this summer!

I managed to get a decent amount of reading done in June – I finished several books, including They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera, Onyx and Ivory by Mindee ArnettThe Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke, Smoke in the Sun by Renee Ahdieh, and Whisper of the Tide by Sarah Tolscer.

While working at camp means that I am busy, I will not be nearly as busy as I was during school, which means that I am hoping to find myself with a bit more time for reading, reviewing and photography – among other things.

June 2018 Reading List

Hi Bookworms!

After a very busy April and May, I am happy to report that I am now officially done university (next up: Convocation!), and I am now working. While this means that I am still relatively busy, I am hoping to find myself with a bit more time for reading, reviewing and photography, among other things.

I even managed to get a decent amount of reading done in May – I finished several books, including Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian, Stormcaster by Cinda Williams Chima, War Storm by Victoria Aveyard, A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas, The Girl You Thought I Was by Rebecca Phillips, and The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen! I am hoping to have reviews available for all of those I haven’t yet reviewed in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned!
